I've Changed Cyber Addresses................

I have been on the run for the last couple of days but have been caught and (proverbially) handcuffed on Tumblr http://www.glamfabnpretty.tumblr.com

And WordPress http://glamfabnpretty.wordpress.com/

For continued glamorous & fabulous goings-on (the occasional repeat as I move popular posts to the new sites) and new to 2013 - the fitness & diet agendas, follow the Home of Glam Fab 'n' Pretty on my new blog sites.
Thank you for the support

Feliz Natal/Happy Christmas

To all my family and friends (Facebook & blogger supporters too)...thank you!

Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.....Now. And Happy New Year

The New Year brings with it some changes and I shall be switching to a WordPress blog as of 2013. Sort of an extension of this current site.

Investigating Interiors (and Exteriors): Entrances & Hallways

With less than a week to go, it not only feels OK to now say 'Boas Festas/Happy Holidays' but also to give the Christmas decor one more whirl of the dice before the new year.

Invitations are a plenty and what better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by an entrance or hallway that is fabulously over the top, chic & simple, and oh so glamorously welcoming.

Manicure Monday.....

With the Twitter handle 'blingblingsugar' - it should come as no surprise that I am obsessed with the sparkle and the glitter. And no amount of either is ever too much. I thought I had seen it all. Until....................

I stumbled upon THE world's most expensive 'Diamond Manicure' by Cherish....ME. Known in the trade as an 'ice manicure' this beauty nail treatment includes an arrangement of exclusively cut diamonds. Oh and by the way, these little gems are 10-carat? You did read that correctly! This next part goes without saying but I'm going to 'say it' anyway - worried about this mani being anything less than perfect the moment you leave the salon and re-start your daily chores? The experienced Cherish team provide a complimentary maintenance and diamond removal service too. A contact that is sure to be number 1 on the speed dial!

And at a price tag of 51,000 (yea, you read that right too!) your precious stones do not disappear forever with the swipe of nail polish remover on a cotton pad. For the most bespoke part of this whole experience, the diamonds are retrieved, to create a unique and priceless piece of jewellery. They have thought of everything.

Fancy treating yourself? The team will travel worldwide. And the diamonds have been sourced legitimately and in compliance with the United Nations Resolutions and the Kimberly process of certification.

So, if bling is your thing, but not at that hefty price....some (affordable) favorites that won't break the bank.

Friday MUA Sessions: M.A.C Cosmetics

Arriving at Brown Thomas in Dublin all those years ago, my specific M.A.C wish had been answered. No more ordering my Chestnut lip-liner from London or (worse still), using an alternative (similar in color only) product. When the chips were down, this girl had to improvise.

It would be a travesty, when referring to makeup, to NOT mention M.A.C. One of my all-time favorites, and the first beauty brand that I 'promoted' myself to when the time came to 'up my make-up game'. Since then, the colors & products have been expanded and you do not have to shake a stick too far to hit a store or concession. AND *gasping out loud* - now the brand can be found on Henry St! (I am referring to Dublin of course and the fact that I have clearly been away for far too long.....I need to re-connect with my fair city).

So what is happening in this magical world? Runway, Haute Couture, Party Glamor, Editorial, Celebrity, Day Wear and products for a good cause, to name a few.

Tried & Tested: Jayne Jackson Beauty Centre

A little while back at the happy birth of my GlamFab n Pretty-ness, I wrote about Jayne Jackson's Beauty Centre. I am ashamed to say that I have not visited this little slice of heaven in nearly as long. Luckily all paths to beauty in the Algarve still lead to the same place....Boliqueime. It's still glamorous, still fabulous and the team are still making their clients even prettier.

So, I need to get myself party season-ready - luckily there's a few beauty offers available until December 31st. Which means I'll be set for New Years Eve too!

Christmas Pamper Package - €40
Includes a Lash Tint, Nail Shape & Polish and Mini Cleansing & Relaxation Facial

Microdermabrasion Facial including a complimentary Crystal Clear Oxygen Lip Plump  - €55

REDLITE™ Derma Roller Collagen Induction Therapy - €80

For these and all the other treatments that are available (the Brow Bar is a particular favorite of mine) check out the Jayne Jackson Beauty Centre on Facebook and their website. And for all the lastest news & trends tune into KISS FM between 14:00 - 15:00

Tuesday Trending: Ombre - Hair

With the new year a matter of weeks away, a lot of us are (possibly) thinking about making a few changes. In the top 3 of easiest things to alter is our hair style/color.

Can't decide between a couple of shades? Torn between two in particular (within the same color palate I would hope)? Well, to solve this little dilemma, I give you ombre.....and while I am not suggesting you go as bold as this....unless you are a ringer for Miss Jessie J, as really only a few of us can pull this uber dram look off and the corporate world may not be quite ready for this fabulous shocker.

Instead why not opt for a more subtle color, that will turn heads...if you have long hair.................

And equally as cute if you have shorter locks.................
